Before Torah Reading
Matthew 5:17-20
Do not think that I came to dismiss the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to dismiss, but to carry out. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one smallest letter or one stroke shall pass away from the Torah, until everything happens. Therefore, anyone who dismisses one of these small mitzvoth (Commandments), and thus teach the sons of men to do so, will be called little in the Kingdom of Heaven; but those who do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
When Removing Torah From Ark
When the Ark set out, Mosha would say: Arise, O AdonYah, and Your adversaries will be scattered, and Your enemies will flee before You. For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of AdonYah from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who in His holiness gave Torah to His people Israel.
The Torah which Moshe commanded us is the heritage of congregation of Ya’aqub. (Kiss the Torah)
THE BOOK OF MATTHEW
CHAPTER 3
1 And in those days came John the Baptizer. And he proclaimed in the desert of Judea,
2 and said: Repent; the kingdom
of heaven has approached.
3 For this is he of whom
it was said, by Isaiah the prophet: The voice of one crying in
the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord Yahweh, make smooth his paths.
4 And as to this John, his clothing was of camel’s hair, and a girdle of skin was upon his
loins; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him
Jerusalem, and all Judea, and all the country about the Jordan.
6 And they were baptized by him
in the river Jordan, while they confessed their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees, who came to be
baptized, he said to them: Generation of vipers, who has taught you to
flee from
the wrath
that comes?
8 Bring forth the fruits then that are in harmony with repentance.
9 And do not think, and say within yourselves, that Abraham
is our father: for I say to
you, that God is able to raise up children to Abraham
from
these stones.
10 And behold, the ax is put to the root of trees. Every tree, therefore, that does not bear
good fruit, is cut, and falls into the fire.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance; but he that comes after me is more
powerful than I; whose sandals I am
not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit and with fire.
12 His winnowing shovel is in his hand; and
he will make clean his threshing-floor. The
wheat he will gather into his storehouse; and
the chaff he will burn with fire that does not
extinguish.
13 Then Jesus came from
Galilee to the Jordan unto John, to be baptized by him.
14 But John refused him; and said, I need to be baptized by you, and you have come to
me?
15 And Jesus answered, and said to him: Allow it now, for thus it becomes us to fulfill
all righteousness. Then he permitted him.
16 And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from
the water. And heaven
was opened to him; and he saw the Holy Spirit descending like a dove, and it came upon
him.
17 And behold, a voice from
heaven, which said: This is my beloved Son, in whom
I
have delight.

THE BOOK OF MATTHEW
CHAPTER 4
1 Then Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the Accuser
2 And he fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterward he hungered.
3 And the Tempter came, and said to him: If you are the Son of God, command these
stones to become bread.
4 But he replied, and said: It is written, that not by bread only, does man live; but by
every word proceeding from
the mouth of God.
5 Then the Accuser took him
to the holy city, and set him
on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to him: If you are the Son of
God, cast yourself down: for it is written, that he
will give his angels charge of you, and in their hands will they sustain you, in case you
strike you foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said to him: It is also written, that you shall not tempt the Lord Yahweh your
God.
8 Again the Accuser took him
to a mountain that was very high, and showed him
all the
kingdoms of the world, and their glory;
9 and said to him: All these will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me.
10 Then Jesus said to him: Be gone, Satan; for it is written, that you shall worship the
Lord Yahweh your God; and only him
shall you serve.
11 Then the Accuser left him: and behold, angels cam
e, and ministered to him.
12 And when Jesus had heard that John was delivered up, he retired to Galilee.
13 And he left Nazareth, and came and dwelt in Capernaum, by the side of the sea, on
the confines of Zebulon and Naphthali.
14 That so might be fulfilled that which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, who said:
15 The land of Zebulon, the land of Naphthali, the way of the sea, the ford of Jordan,
Galilee of the nations;
16 the people that sat in darkness, have seen great light; and to them
who sat in the
region and shadow of death, light is arisen.
17 From
that time began Jesus to proclaimand say: Repent; for the kingdom
of heaven
has approached.
18 And as he walked on the shore of the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon
called Cephas, and Andrew his brother, who were casting nets into the sea; for they were
fishermen.
19 And Jesus said to them: Follow me; and I will cause you to become fishers of men.
20 And immediately, they left their nets, and went after him.
21 And as he passed on from
there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of
Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, who were m
ending
their nets. And Jesus called them.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and went after him.
23 And Jesus traveled over all Galilee; and he taught in their synagogues and
proclaimed the tidings of the kingdom; and he cured every disease and malady among the
people.
24 And his fame spread through all Syria. And they brought to him
all them
that were
very sick with diverse diseases, and them
that were afflicted with pains, and demoniacs,
and mad and paralytics; and he healed them.
25 And there followed him
great multitudes from
Galilee, and from
the Ten Cities, and from
Jerusalem, and from
Judea, and from
beyond the Jordan.

Psalm 119:18
Happy are they who are upright in the way, who walk in the Torah of AdonYah. Happy are they who keep His testimonies, that seek Him with the whole heart. They do no unrighteousness; they walk in His way. You have ordained Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently. Oh that my ways were directed to observe Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I have given diligence unto all Your mitzvoth. I will give thanks unto You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous ordinances. I will observe Your statutes; do not utterly forsake me.
Lord Yeshua, you who were brought forth by the very hand of God the Father, made known to the Blessed Mother Maryam, by the message of the angel Gabriel — I praise you, I thank you and I honour you with all my heart. It was you who said, ‘I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me, shall not hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall never thirst.’ Grant unto the presence of the Spirit of holiness as you promised to your disciples, so that I may understand the Word of God and the Will of the Father for me. Amen.
