There is a great deal riding on the capacity of believers to be following the Narrow Path by the time of the return of Messiah.
The greatest travesty for the greater percentage of this world, is that most people who even concede a Supreme Being, believe themselves to somehow be in these good graces just by virtue of the fact that they acknowledge the Creator at all.
This is a first step but it is far from the full journey.
For those born into the Jewish Faith, the Path spelled out in the Gospels, teaches a Torah Observant life, but more than this. A life devoted to the heart of Torah. This is the Torah of Moses, sealed in the blood of the lamb.
While this is a valid path for many in the world, considering the greater percentage of people do not come from a Jewish background, a path was required that could take any person, no matter who they were or where they were from and bring them into the fold of Messiah and prepare them for the return of Messiah.
St. James, the Teacher of Righteousness and Leader of the Apostolic Community penned a Letter, the official Letter of St. James to the Gentiles. In this letter, James lays out what every person, no matter what their background, must do in order to have a place with Yeshua upon His return.
The references in most translations of the Book of Acts do not contain the actual letter but only a synopsis of the teaching.
The actual Letter, which has always been in the Essene community as a part of the original book of Acts, is called the Limudah (Didache).
Because the Didache is the bare bones of what is expected of any person, regardless whether or not they know anything about Torah or all the nuances of Jewish life and belief.
The Didache has been in existence for thousands of years and for most of that time, its been relegated to an ancient historical document.
The Truth of the matter is, the Way spoken of in the Gospels is fully realized in the Didache. If any person lives the life listed in the Didache, they will have a place with Messiah upon His return. This is not an empty promise, this is assured.
But even in reading this Didache, does this mean we just automatically know what to do and when to do it?
Because it is important for every believer to begin walking the Narrow Path. I am going to take a step by step approach to the text of the Limudah (Didache), and as we go along this process, we will spell out precisely what is required and give you examples of how to implement these teachings in your day to day life.
The goal is not to become Self-Righteous or Holier than Thou. The goal for the serious believer is to become holier today than you were yesterday, and in turn, to become holier tomorrow than you were to day. What this constitutes is the progress on the Narrow Path.
Anyone who believes they have plateaued, in some way. That nothing is required of them to perfect themselves for the return of Messiah other than just breathing, is not even on the Narrow Path.
If anyone uses these principles seriously, they will be with Messiah, upon His return.
Sincerely,
