Before Torah Reading
Matthew 5:17-20
Do not think that I came to dismiss the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to dismiss, but to carry out. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one smallest letter or one stroke shall pass away from the Torah, until everything happens. Therefore, anyone who dismisses one of these small mitzvoth (Commandments), and thus teach the sons of men to do so, will be called little in the Kingdom of Heaven; but those who do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

When Removing Torah From Ark
When the Ark set out, Mosha would say: Arise, O AdonYah, and Your adversaries will be scattered, and Your enemies will flee before You. For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of AdonYah from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who in His holiness gave Torah to His people Israel.

Prayer when touched the Torah

The Torah which Moshe commanded us is the heritage of the congregation of Ya’aqub. {Kiss the Torah}

THE BOOK OF Matthai

CHAPTER 7

1 Do not judge, for you may be judged.*
2 For with the judgment that you judge, you shall be judged; and by the measure that
you measure, shall it be measured to you.
3 And why do you observe the straw in your brother’
s eye, and do not regard the beam
that is in your own eye?
4 Or how can you say to your brother, Allow me to pluck the straw from
your eye; and
behold! a beam
is in your own eye.
5 You hypocrite; pluck first the beam
from
your own eye; and then you will see clearly,
to pluck the straw out of your brother’s eye.
6 Do not hang consecrated ornaments on dogs: and do not cast your pearls before swine;
in case they tread them
under their feet, and turn and cut you.
7 Ask, and it shall be given to you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be
opened to you.
8 For, every one that asks, receives: and he that seeks, finds: and to him
that knocks, it
shall be opened.
9 For what man is there among you, of whom
if his son asks for bread, will he give him
a stone?
10 Or if
he asks of
him
a fish, will he give him
a serpent?
11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much
more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to them
that ask him?
12 All that which you desire men do to you, so also you should do to them: for this is
the Law and the Prophets.
13 Enter in by the strait gate; for wide is the gate and broad the way which leads to
destruction; and m
any are they that walk in it.
14 How small the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and few are they who
find it!
15 Beware of false prophets; who come to you in the garb of sheep, but internally they
are ravenous wolves.
16 And from
their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes from
thorn bushes;
or figs from
thistles?
17 So every good tree bears good fruits; but a bad tree bears bad fruits.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruits; nor can a bad tree bear good fruits.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruits is cut down and consigned to the fire.
20 Therefore, by their fruits you shall know them.
21 It everyone who says to me, My Lord, my Lord, will enter into the kingdom
of
heaven: but he that does the will of
my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, My Lord, my Lord, have we not prophesied in your
name? and in your name cast out demons?
and in your name brought done works of
power?
23 And then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Depart from
me, you evildoers.
24 Every one therefore that hears These my words, and does them, will be like a wise
man, one that built his house upon a rock.
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and they rushed
upon that house; and it did not fall, for its foundations were laid upon a rock.
26 And every one that hears these my words, and does not do them, will be like a
foolish man that built his house upon sand.
27 And the rain descended, and the floods cam
e, and the winds blew; and they rushed
upon that house, and it fell; and its ruin was immense.
28 And so it was, that when Jesus had ended these words, the multitudes were
astonished at his teaching:
29 for he taught them
as one having authority; and not as their Scribes and Pharisees.
*or, “Do not judge, that you not be judged.”

Syriac Peshitto Matthew ch 7 Authorized use by +Mar Eshwan, Bishop

Chapter 2

1 My brethren, you shall not hold the faith of the glory of Maran Yeshua Mshikha with a bias concerning various people. 2 For if a man comes into your assembly with rings of gold or expensive attire, and there also comes in a poor man with inexpensive attire; 3 and you show respect to the one who is clothed in expensive garments, and say to him, Have yourself a seat here, conspicuously; while to the poor man, you say, You stand over here, or sit here in front of my footstool; 4 are you not divided among yourselves, and become expositors of evil thoughts?

5 Hear, my beloved brethren: Has Alaha not chosen the poor of the world, but the rich in faith, to be heirs in the kingdom which Alaha has promised to those who love him? 6 But you have despised the poor man. Do rich men not exalt themselves over you, and drag you before the courts? 7 Do they not revile that worthy name, which is invoked upon you?

8 And if in this you fulfill the Torah of Alaha, as it is written, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you will do well: 9 but if you have bias concerning different people, you commit sin; and you are convicted by Torah, as transgressors of Torah.

10 For he that shall observe the whole Torah, and yet fail in one Mitzvah, is obnoxious to the whole Torah. 11 For he who said, You shall not commit adultery, said also, You shall not murder. If then you commit no adultery, but you murder, you have become a transgressor of Torah.

12 So speak and act as persons that are to be judged by the Torah of liberty. 13 For judgment without mercy shall be on him, who has practised no mercy: by mercy, you will be raised above judgment.

14 What is the use, my brethren, if a man says, I have faith; and he has no works? can his faith make him live? 15 Or if a brother or sister is without clothing, and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, Go in peace, warm yourselves, and be full; and you do not give them the necessary thing for the body, what is the use?

17 So, likewise, faith alone, without works, is dead. 18 For a man may say, You have faith, and I have works; show to me your faith that is without works; and I will show to you, my faith by my works.

19 You believe that there is one Alaha; you do well; the demons also believe, and tremble. 20 Would you know, weak man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was Abraham our father not justified by works in offering his son Yitzkhak upon the altar? 22 Do you see that his faith aided his works, and that by the works his faith was rendered complete? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled, which says: Abraham believed in Alaha, and it was accounted to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of Alaha. 24 You see, that by works a man is justified, and not by faith alone.

25 So also Rahab, the harlot, was she not justified by works when she entertained the spies and sent them forth by different way?

26 As the body without the spirit, is dead; so faith without works, is dead also.

Odes of Solomon 10 – 11

Ode Ten 1 My heart was pruned and its flower appeared, then grace sprang up in it, and my heart produced fruits for the Lord.
2 For the Most High circumcised me by His Holy Spirit, then He uncovered my inward being towards Him, and filled me with His love.
3 And His circumcising became my salvation, and I ran in the Way, in His peace, in the way of truth.
4 From the beginning until the end I received His knowledge.
5 And I was established upon the rock of truth, where He had set me.
6 And speaking waters touched my lips from the fountain of the Lord generously.
7 And so I drank and became intoxicated, from the living water that does not die.
8 And my intoxication did not cause ignorance, but I abandoned vanity, and turned toward the Most High, my God, and was enriched by His favours.
9 And I rejected the folly cast upon the earth, and stripped it off and cast it from me.
10 And the Lord renewed me with His garment, and possessed me by His light.
11 And from above He gave me immortal rest, and I became like the land that blossoms and rejoices in its fruits.
12 And the Lord is like the sun upon the face of the land.
13 My eyes were enlightened, and my face received the dew;
14 And my breath was refreshed by the pleasant fragrance of the Lord.
15 And He took me to His Paradise, wherein is the wealth of the Lord’s pleasure.
16 I beheld blooming and fruitbearing trees, and self-grown was their crown.
17 Their branches were sprouting and their fruits were shining.
18 From an immortal land were their roots.
19 And a river of gladness was irrigating them, and round about them in the land of eternal life.
23 Then I worshipped the Lord because of His magnificence.
24 And I said, Blessed, Maran, are they who are planted in Your land, and who have a place in Your Paradise;
25 And who grow in the growth of Your trees, and have passed from darkness into light.
26 Behold, all Your labourers are fair, they who work good works, and turn from wickedness to your pleasantness.
27 For the pungent odour of the trees is changed in Your land, and everything becomes a remnant of Yourself. Blessed are the workers of Your waters, and eternal memorials of Your faithful servants.
28 Indeed, there is much room in Your Paradise. And there is nothing in it which is barren, but everything is filled with fruit.
29 Glory be to You, O God, the delight of Paradise for ever. Halleluyah. Ode Eleven 1 He has filled me with words of truth, that I may proclaim Him.
2 And like the flowing of waters, truth flows from my mouth, and my lips declare His fruits.
3 And He has caused His knowledge to abound in me, because the mouth of the Lord is the true Word, and the entrance of His light.
4 And the Most High has given Him to His generations, which are the interpreters of His beauty, and the narrators of His glory, and the confessors of His purpose, and the preachers of His mind, and the teachers of His works.
5 For the subtlety of the Word is inexpressible, and like His utterance so also is His swiftness and His acuteness, for limitless is His progression.
6 He never falls but remains standing, and one cannot comprehend His descent or His way.
7 For as His work is, so is His expectation, for He is the light and dawning of thought.
8 And by Him the generations spoke to one another, and those that were silent acquired speech.
9And from Him came love and equality, and they spoke one to another that which was theirs.
10 And they were stimulated by the Word, and knew Him who made them, because they were in harmony.
11 For the mouth of the Most High spoke to them, and His exposition prospered through Him.
12 For the dwelling place of the Word is man, and His truth is love.
13 Blessed are they who by means of Him have perceived everything, and have known the Lord in His
truth. Halleluyah.

After Torah Reading

Psalm 119:18
Happy are they who are upright in the way, who walk in the Torah of AdonYah. Happy are they who keep His testimonies, that seek Him with the whole heart. They do no unrighteousness; they walk in His way. You have ordained Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently. Oh that my ways were directed to observe Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I have given diligence unto all Your mitzvoth. I will give thanks unto You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous ordinances. I will observe Your statutes; do not utterly forsake me.

Lord Yeshua, you who were brought forth by the very hand of God the Father, made known to the Blessed Mother Maryam, by the message of the angel Gabriel — I praise you, I thank you and I honour you with all my heart. It was you who said, ‘I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me, shall not hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall never thirst.’ Grant unto the presence of the Spirit of holiness as you promised to your disciples, so that I may understand the Word of God and the Will of the Father for me. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Forehead:”May I have the mind of Mshikha”, Mouth:”May I speak pure words of Torah”, Heart:”and may my heart be sealed”, Right shoulder: “in the blood of the Lamb”& Left shoulder :” Amen. ” God is One.

Or Forehead:”Mshikha in my mind.”, Mouth:”Torah in my mouth.”, Heart:”The blood of the Lamb in my heart.”, Right shoulder:”In Yeshua’s Name.” & Left Shoulder:”Amen.”In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. God is One.

May Mar Yah Bless You and Keep You. 🙂
