Before Torah Reading

Matthew 5:17-20

Do not think that I came to dismiss the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to dismiss, but to carry out. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one smallest letter or one stroke shall pass away from the Torah, until everything happens. Therefore, anyone who dismisses one of these small mitzvoth (Commandments), and thus teach the sons of men to do so, will be called little in the Kingdom of Heaven; but those who do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

When Removing Torah From Ark

When the Ark set out, Mosha would say: Arise, O AdonYah, and Your adversaries will be scattered, and Your enemies will flee before You. For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of AdonYah from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who in His holiness gave Torah to His people Israel.

The Torah which Moshe commanded us is the heritage of congregation of Ya’aqub. (Kiss the Torah)

CHAPTER 5

1 And when Jesus saw the multitudes, he ascended a hill; and when he was seated, his

disciples drew near him:

2 and he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying:

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit for the kingdom

of heaven is theirs!

4 Blessed are the mourners: for they shall be comforted!

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth!

6 Blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they shall be satisfied!

7 Blessed are the merciful: for on them

shall be mercies!

8 Blessed are the clean in heart: for they shall behold God!

9 Blessed are the cultivators of peace: for they shall be called sons of God!

10 Blessed are they that are persecuted on account of righteousness: for the kingdom

of

heaven is theirs!

11 Blessed are you, when they revile you and persecute you, and speak every evil thing

against you, falsely, on my account.

12 At that time, rejoice and be glad: for your reward in heaven is great. For so they

persecuted the prophets that were before you.

13 You are the salt of the earth! But if the salt become bland, with what shall it be

seasoned?

It is fit for nothing; but to be thrown out, and be trodden under foot by men.

14 You are the light of the world! A city built upon a hill can not be concealed.

15 And they do not light a lamp and place it under a bushel; but upon a light stand, and

it gives light to all that are in the house.

16 Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and may glorify

your Father who is in heaven.

17 Do not suppose that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets: I have come not

to destroy, but to fulfill.

18 For truly I say to you, that until heaven and earth shall pass away, one iota or one

letter shall not pass from

the Law, until all shall be fulfilled.

19 Therefore whoever shall break one of these small commands and teaches the

children of men to do the same, shall be called little in the kingdom

of heaven: but every

one that shall do and teach them, shall be called great in the kingdom

of heaven.

20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness shall abound more than that of the

Scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter into the kingdom

of heaven.

21 You have heard that it was said to the ancients, You shall not murder: and every one

that murders, is loathsome to judgment.

22 But I say to you, That every one who is angry with his brother rashly, is loathsome to judgment: and every one that says to his brother, Raka! is loathsome to the council: and

every one that shall say, Fool is loathsome to the fire of Gehenna.

23 If therefore you shall bring your oblation to the altar, and shall there remember that

your brother has any offence against you,

24 leave there your oblation before the altar, and go first and be reconciled with your

brother; and then come and present your oblation.

25 Be at agreement with your prosecutor, without delay, and while on the way with him;

in case the prosecutor delivers you up to the judge, and the judge delivers you over to the

sheriff, and you fall into the house of prisoners.

26 Truly I say to you, You will not come out from

there until you have paid the last

coin.

27 You have heard that it has been said, You shall not commit adultery.

28 But I say to you, That whoever gazes on a woman with lust, at once commits

adultery with her in his heart.

29 If therefore your right eye makes you to cause offense, pluck it out, and cast it from

you; because it is better for you that your one m

ember perish, than that your whole body

should fall into Gehenna.

30 And if your right hand makes to cause offense, cut it off, and cast it from

you;

because it is better for you that one of your members perish, than that your whole body

fall into Gehenna.

31 It has been said, That if

a man will put away his wife, he must give her a certificate

of divorce.

32 But I say to you, That whoever putts away his wife, except for the offence of

whoredom, causes her to commit adultery: and he that takes the divorced woman,

commits adultery.

33 Again, you have heard that it has been said to the ancients, You shall not be false in

your oaths; but you shall perform

your oaths to the Lord Yahweh.

34 But I say to you, Do not swear at all: not by heaven, for it is the throne of God:

35 and not by the earth, for it is the footstool under his feet: and likewise not by

Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great king.

36 Furthermore, you shall not swear by your head, for you can not make one hair in it

either black or white.

37 But let your word, Yes, be yes; or No, be no; for whatever is beyond these proceeds

from

evil.

38 You have heard that it has been said: An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

39 But I say to you: Resist not evil; but if a person strikes you on your right cheek, turn

to him

the other also.

40 And if one is disposed to sue you and take away your coat, surrender to him

also

your cloak.

41 Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him

two.

42 Whoever demands of you, give to him: and whoever wishes to borrow of you, do not

deny him.

43 You have heard that it has been said: You shall love your neighbor, and hate your

enemy.

44 But I say to you: Love your enemies; and bless him

that curses you; and do good to

him

that hates you; and pray for them

that lead you in bonds, and that persecute you:

45 that you may be the children of your Father that is in heaven, who causes his sun to

rise upon the good and upon the bad, and sends his rain upon the righteous and upon the

unrighteous.

46 For, if you love only them

that love you, what reward have you?

Do not even the

publicans do this?

47 And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing?

Do not even

publicans do this?

48 Therefore be perfect; even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect.

THE BOOK OF MATTHEW

CHAPTER 6

1 Be cautious in your alms-giving, not to perform

it before m

en, so that you may be

seen of them: otherwise, you have no reward from

your Father who is in heaven.

2 Therefore, when you do alms you shall not sound a trumpet in front of you, as the

hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get praise from

men.

Truly I say to you, They have gotten their reward.

3 But you, when doing alms, do not let your

left hand know what your right hand does:

4 that your alms may be in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you

openly.

5 And when you pray you shall not be like the hypocrites, who are fond of standing up

in the synagogues and at the corners of streets to pray, so that they may be seen by

people. Truly I say to you, they have received their reward.

6 But you, when you pray enter into your closet and close the door, and pray to your

Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.

7 And when you pray, do not be overly talkative like the heathen; for they expect to be

heard for their abundance of words.

8 Therefore, do not be like them; for your Father knows what is needful for you, before

you ask him.

9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father who is in heaven, holy be your name:

10 Your kingdom

come: Your will be done; as in heaven, so on earth:

11 Give us our needful bread, this day:

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors:

13 And bring us not into trial, but deliver us from

evil: For yours is the kingdom, and

the power, and the glory, for ever and ever: Amen.

14 For if you forgive men their faults, your Father who is in heaven will also forgive

you.

15 But if you shall not forgive men, your Father will also not forgive you of your faults.

16 And when you fast, do not be gloomy like the hypocrites. For they distort their faces,

that they may be seen of men to fast. Truly I say to you, they have received their reward.

17 But, when you fast, wash your face, and anoint your head:

18 that you may not be seen by men as one fasting, but by your Father who is in secret:

and your Father who sees in secret, will reward you.

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust spoil, and

where thieves dig through and steal.

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where no moth and no rust can spoil,

and no thieves dig through nor steal.

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart also be.

22 The lam

p of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye shall be sound, your whole

body will be luminous.

23 But if your eye shall be diseased, your whole body will be dark. If then the light that

is in you be darkness, how great will be your darkness!

24 No m

an can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other, or

he will honor the one and neglect the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

25 Therefore I say to you: Do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat, and

what you shall drink; nor about your body, how

you shall clothe yourselves. Is not the life

more important than food, and the body than clothing?

26 Look at the birds of heaven; which do not sow, and do not reap, and do not gather

into storehouses, but your Father who is in heaven feeds them. Are you not more

important than they?

27 And who of you that shall be anxious, can add to his stature a cubit?

28 And about clothing, why are you anxious?

Consider the lilies of the desert, in what

manner they grow. They do not toil; and they do not spin.

29 Yet I say to you, that not even Solomon in all his glory, was arrayed like one of

them.

30 And if God so clothe the grass of the field, which exists today, and tomorrow falls

into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, you small in faith?

31 Therefore do not be anxious; nor say, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink; or

with what shall we be clothed?

32 For, all these things the people of the world seek after. And your Father, who is in

heaven, knows that all these things are needful to you.

33 But seek first the kingdom

of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall

be added to you.

34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow: for the tomorrow has its own anxieties.

Sufficient for the day, is its own evil.

After Torah Reading

Psalm 119:18

Happy are they who are upright in the way, who walk in the Torah of AdonYah. Happy are they who keep His testimonies, that seek Him with the whole heart. They do no unrighteousness; they walk in His way. You have ordained Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently. Oh that my ways were directed to observe Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I have given diligence unto all Your mitzvoth. I will give thanks unto You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous ordinances. I will observe Your statutes; do not utterly forsake me.

Lord Yeshua, you who were brought forth by the very hand of God the Father, made known to the Blessed Mother Maryam, by the message of the angel Gabriel — I praise you, I thank you and I honour you with all my heart. It was you who said, ‘I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me, shall not hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall never thirst.’ Grant unto the presence of the Spirit of holiness as you promised to your disciples, so that I may understand the Word of God and the Will of the Father for me. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Forehead:”May I have the mind of Mshikha”, Mouth:”May I speak pure words of Torah”, Heart:”and may my heart be sealed”, Right shoulder: “in the blood of the Lamb”& Left shoulder :” Amen. ” God is One.

Or

Forehead:”Mshikha in my mind.”, Mouth:”Torah in my mouth.”, Heart:”The blood of the Lamb in my heart.”, Right shoulder:”In Yeshua’s Name.” & Left Shoulder:”Amen.”In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. God is One.

May Mar Yah Bless You and Keep You.
