Before Torah Reading

Matthew 5:17-20

Do not think that I came to dismiss the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to dismiss, but to carry out. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one smallest letter or one stroke shall pass away from the Torah, until everything happens. Therefore, anyone who dismisses one of these small mitzvoth (Commandments), and thus teach the sons of men to do so, will be called little in the Kingdom of Heaven; but those who do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

When Removing Torah From Ark

When the Ark set out, Mosha would say: Arise, O AdonYah, and Your adversaries will be scattered, and Your enemies will flee before You. For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of AdonYah from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who in His holiness gave Torah to His people Israel.

The Torah which Moshe commanded us is the heritage of congregation of Ya’aqub. (Kiss the Torah)

THE BOOK OF MATTHEW

CHAPTER 23

1 Then Jesus conversed with the multitude and with his disciples,

2 and said to them: The Scribes and Pharisees sit in the seat of Moses.

3 Whatever therefore they tell you to observe, that observe and do. But you should not

practice according to their deeds: for they say, and do not.

4 They tie up heavy burdens, and place them

on men’s shoulders; but will not

them

selves touch them

with their finger.

5 And all their works they do, to be seen of men: for they make their tefillin broad, and

extend the ribbands of their garments.

6 And they love the highest couches at suppers and the highest seats in the synagogues,

7 and the greeting in the market places, and to be addressed by men [as] Rabbi.

8 But do not be called Rabbi; for one is your Rabbi, and you are all brethren.

9 And you shall not call yourselves Father on earth; for one is your Father, who is in

heaven.

10 And do not be called guides; for one is your Guide, the Messiah.

11 And the great one among you will be your servant.

12 For whoever shall exalt himself, will be abased: and whoever shall abase himself,

will be exalted.

13 Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for you devour the houses of widows,

under the disguise of lengthening your prayers. Therefore you shall receive greater

condemnation.

14 Woe to you. Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for you hold the kingdom

of heaven

closed before men; for you do not enter yourselves, and those that would enter you do not

allow to enter.

15 Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for you traverse sea and land to make

one proselyte; and when he is gained, you make him

a child of Gehenna twofold more

than yourselves.

16 Woe to you, you blind guides: for you say, Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is

nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold that is in the temple, he is guilty.

17 You fools, and blind: for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifies the

gold?

18 And, whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing: but whoever shall swear by the

offering upon it, he is guilty.

19 You fools, and blind: for which is greater, the offering, or the altar that sanctifies the

offering?

20 He therefore who swears by the altar, swears by it, and by all that is upon it.

21 And he who swears by the temple, swears by it, and by him

that dwells in it.

22 And he who swears by heaven, swears by throne of God, and by him

that sits on it.

23 Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for you take tithes of mint, and anise,

and cummin, and omit the graver matters of the Law, judgment, and mercy, and fidelity:

these you should do, and those not to omit.

24 You blind guides, who strain out gnats, and swallow down camels.

25 Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for you cleanse the outside of the cup

and the dish, while within they are full of extortion and wickedness.

26 You blind Pharisees, cleanse first the inside of the cup and dish, that their outside

may be clean also.

27 Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for you are like white sepulchers,

which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of bones of the dead and all

impurity.

28 So you also, outwardly, appear to men as righteous; but within, you are full of

iniquity and hypocrisy.

29 Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for you build the tombs of the

prophets and you adorn the sepulchers of the righteous;

30 and you say: If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been

participators with them

in the blood of the prophets.

31 Therefore you are witnesses, against yourselves, that you are the children of them

that murdered the prophets.

32 And as for you, fill up the measure of your fathers.

33 You serpents, you race of vipers: how can you escape the condemnation of Gehenna?

34 Therefore, behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes; some of whom

you will murder and crucify, and some of them

you will scourge in your synagogues, and

will persecute them

from

city to city:

35 so that on you may come all the blood of the righteous, which has been shed on the

earth, from

the blood of righteous Abel to

the blood of Zachariah, son of Barachiah,

whom

you murdered between the temple and the altar.

36 Truly I say to you, that all these things will come upon this generation.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who murders the prophets, and stones them

that are sent to

you: how often would I have gathered your children, as a hen gathers her young under

her wings, and you would not.

38 Behold, your house is left to you desolate!

39 For I say to you, That you shall not see me from

this time forth, until you shall say:

Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord Yahweh.

Syriac Peshitto Matthew Ch. 23 Authorized use by +Mar Eshwan, Bishop

Gospel of Thomas v. 110-114

110) Jesus said, “Whoever finds the world and becomes rich, let
him renounce the world.”

111) Jesus said, “The heavens and the earth will be rolled up in
your presence. And one who lives from the Living One will not see
death.” Does not Jesus say, “Whoever finds himself is superior to
the world?”

112) Jesus said, “Woe to the flesh that depends on the soul; woe
to the soul that depends on the flesh.”

113) His disciples said to Him, “When will the Kingdom come?”
“It will not come by waiting for it. It will
not be a matter of saying ‘Here it is’ or ‘There it is.’ Rather,
the Kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men
do not see it.”

114) Simon Peter said to Him, “Let Mary leave us, for women are
not worthy of Life.”
Jesus said, “I myself shall lead her in order to make her
male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you
males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the
Kingdom of Heaven.”

Ode Sixteen 1 Then I was crowned by my God, and my crown was living.
2 And I was justified by my Lord, for my salvation is incorruptible. 3 I have been freed from vanities, and am not condemned.
4 My chains were cut off by His hands, I received the face and likeness of a new person, and I walked in Him and was saved.
5 And the thought of truth led me, and I went after it and wandered not.
6 And all who saw me were amazed, and I seemed to them like a stranger.
7 And He who knew and exalted me, is the Most High in all His perfection.
8 And He glorified me by His kindness, and raised my understanding to the height of truth.
9 And from there He gave me the way of His steps, and I opened the doors which were closed.
10 And I shattered the bars of iron, for my own shackles had grown hot and melted before me.
11 And nothing appeared closed to me, because I was the opening of everything.
12 And I went towards all my bound ones in order to loose them; that I might not leave anyone bound or binding.
13 And I gave my knowledge generously, and my resurrection through my love.
14 And I sowed my fruits in hearts, and transformed them through myself.
15 Then they received my blessing and lived, and they were gathered to me and were saved; 16 Because they became my members, and I was their Head.
17 Glory to You, our Head, Maran Mshikha. Halleluyah.

After Torah Reading

Psalm 119:18

Happy are they who are upright in the way, who walk in the Torah of AdonYah. Happy are they who keep His testimonies, that seek Him with the whole heart. They do no unrighteousness; they walk in His way. You have ordained Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently. Oh that my ways were directed to observe Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I have given diligence unto all Your mitzvoth. I will give thanks unto You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous ordinances. I will observe Your statutes; do not utterly forsake me.

Lord Yeshua, you who were brought forth by the very hand of God the Father, made known to the Blessed Mother Maryam, by the message of the angel Gabriel — I praise you, I thank you and I honour you with all my heart. It was you who said, ‘I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me, shall not hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall never thirst.’ Grant unto the presence of the Spirit of holiness as you promised to your disciples, so that I may understand the Word of God and the Will of the Father for me. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Forehead:”May I have the mind of Mshikha”, Mouth:”May I speak pure words of Torah”, Heart:”and may my heart be sealed”, Right shoulder: “in the blood of the Lamb”& Left shoulder :” Amen. ” God is One.

Or

Forehead:”Mshikha in my mind.”, Mouth:”Torah in my mouth.”, Heart:”The blood of the Lamb in my heart.”, Right shoulder:”In Yeshua’s Name.” & Left Shoulder:”Amen.”In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. God is One.
