Matthew 5:17­-20
Do not think that I came to dismiss the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to dismiss, but to carry out. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one smallest letter or one stroke shall pass away from the Torah, until everything happens. Therefore, anyone who dismisses one of these small mitzvoth (Commandments), and thus teach the sons of men to do so, will be called little in the Kingdom of Heaven; but those who do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

When Removing Torah From Ark
When the Ark set out, Mosha would say: Arise, O AdonYah, and Your adversaries will be scattered, and Your enemies will flee before You. For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of Adon­Yah from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who in His holiness gave Torah to His people Israel.

Prayer when touched the Torah

The Torah which Moshe commanded us is the heritage of the congregation of Ya’aqub. {Kiss the Torah}

CHAPTER 9
1 And he entered the ship, and passed over and came to his own city.
2 And they brought to him
a certain paralytic, lying on a bed. And Jesus saw their faith,
and said to the paralytic: Take courage, my son; your sins are forgiven of you.
3 And some of the Scribes said in their minds, This man blasphemes.
4 But Jesus knew their thoughts: and he said to them, Why do you think evil in your
heart?
5 For, which is the easier, to say, Your sins are forgiven of you; or to say, Arise and
walk?
6 But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, he
said to the paralytic: Arise, take up your bed, and go to your home.
7 And he arose and went to his home.
8 And when the multitudes saw this, they were in fear; and they praised God, who had
given authority like this to men.
9 And as Jesus passed on from
there, he saw a man sitting at the custom
-house, whose
name was Matthew. And he said to him, Follow me: and he arose and followed him.
10 And as they were reclining in a house, many publicans and sinners came and reclined
with Jesus and his disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw this they said to his disciples, Why does your Rabbi eat
with publicans and sinners?
12 And as Jesus heard this, he said to them: They who are in health have no need of a
physician, rather they that are very sick.
13 Go and learn what that is: I require compassion, and not a sacrifice! For I did not
come to call the righteous, but the sinful.
14 Then the disciples of John came to him, and said: Why do we and the Pharisees fast
much and your disciples do not fast?
15 Jesus said to them: Can the children of the marriage chamber fast, so long as the
bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom
will be taken from them, and then they will fast.
16 No one puts a piece of new cloth on an old garment; in case it tears away from
the garment, and the hole becomes greater.
17 And they do not put new wine into old sacks; in case the sacks burst, and the wine
runs out, and the sacks destroyed. But they put new wine into new sacks and they are
both preserved.
18 And while he was discoursing with them
a certain ruler came, drew near, worshipped
him
and said: My daughter is already dead, but come lay your hand upon her, and she
will live.
19 And Jesus rose up, and his disciples; and they followed him.
20 And behold, a woman whose blood had flowed fourteen years, cam
e up behind him,
and touched the edge of his robe:
21 for she had said in her mind, If only I touch his garment I shall be cured.
22 And Jesus turned, looked at her, and said to her: Take courage, my daughter; your
faith has given you life. And the woman was cured from
that very moment.
23 And Jesus came to the house of the ruler: and he saw there pipers, and multitudes
making outcry.
24 And he said to them: Retire; for the m
aid is not dead, but sleeps. And they scoffed at
him.
25 And when he had dismissed the crowd, he entered and took her by the hand, and the
maid rose up.
26 And the news of this thing spread in all that land.
27 And when Jesus had passed from
there, two blind men followed after him, and said:
Have mercy on us, Son of David!
28 And when he had entered a house, those blind men approached him, and Jesus said to
them: Do you believe that I am
able to do this?
They said to him, Yes, our Lord.
29 Then he touched their eyes, and said: As you have believed, so shall it be to you.
30 And immediately their eyes were opened. And Jesus charged them
and said: See that
no man know of this.
31 But they went out and spread the news of it in all that land.
32 And as Jesus went out, they brought to him
a certain mute man in whom
was a
demon.
33 And when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke. And the multitudes were
amazed, and said: Never was it so seen in Israel!
34 But the Pharisees said: It is by the chief of the demons, he casts out demons.
35 And Jesus traveled over all the cities and the villages: and he taught in their
synagogues, and proclaimed the tidings of the kingdom, and healed all diseases and all
pains.
36 And when Jesus looked on the multitudes, he pitied them; because they were wearied
and dispersed, like sheep that have no shepherd.
37 And he said to his disciples, The harvest is great, and the laborers few.
38 Pray, therefore, of the Lord of the harvest, that he would send laborers into his
harvest.

ܠܗܽܘܢ ܪܳܥܝܳܐ܂ 37ܘܶܐܡܰܪ ܠܬ݂ܰܠܡܺܝܕ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܚܨܳܕ݂ܳܐ ܣܰܓ݁ܺܝ ܘܦ݂ܳܥܠܶܐ ܙܥܽܘܪܺܝܢ܂ 38ܒ݁ܥܰܘ ܗܳܟ݂ܺܝܠ ܡܶܢ ܡܳܪܶܐ ܚܨܳܕ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܰܦ݁ܶܩ ܦ݁ܳܥܠܶܐ ܠܰܚܨܳܕ݂ܶܗ܂

Chapter 4

1 Where is it, that there are among you fightings and broils ? Is it not from the lusts, which war in your members?

2 You covet, and possess not; and you kill, and envy, and effect nothing: and you fight and make attacks; and you have not, because you ask not.

3 You ask, and receive not; because you ask wickedly, that you may pamper your lusts.

4 You adulterers, know you not, that the love of the world is hostility towards Alaha ? He therefore who chooses to be a lover of this world, is the enemy of Alaha.

5 Or think you, that the scripture has vainly said: The spirit dwelling in us lusts with envy?

6 But Maran has given us more grace. Therefore he said: Alaha humbles the lofty, and gives grace to the lowly.

7 Subject yourselves therefore to Alaha; and stand firm against Satan, and he will flee from you.

8 Draw close to Alaha, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners: sanctify your hearts, you divided in mind.

9 Humble yourselves, and mourn: let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into grief.

10 Humble yourselves before Mar-Yah, and he will exalt you.

11 Do not speak against each other, my brethren; for he that speaks against his brother, or judges his brother, speaks against Torah, and judges Torah. And if you judge Torah, you are not Torah observant, but its judge.

12 There is one Law-giver and Judge, who can make alive, and [can] destroy: but who are you, that you judge your neighbor ?

13 But what shall we say of those, who say: To-day or to-morrow we will go to such or such a city, and will abide there a year; and we will traffic, and get gain ?

14 And they know not what will be to-morrow: for what is our life, but an exhalation that is seen a little while, and then vanishes and is gone ?

15 Whereas they should say: If Mar-Yah please, and we live, we will do this or that.

16 They glory in their vaunting. All such glorying is evil.

17 He that knows the good, and does it not, to him is sin.

Ode Thirteen 1 As the eyes of a son upon his father, so are my eyes, Maran, at all times towards You.
2 Because my pleasure is with You.
3 Turn not aside Your mercies from me, Maran; and take not Your kindness from me.
