Before Torah Reading

Matthew 5:17-20

Do not think that I came to dismiss the Torah or the Prophets. I have not come to dismiss, but to carry out. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one smallest letter or one stroke shall pass away from the Torah, until everything happens. Therefore, anyone who dismisses one of these small mitzvoth (Commandments), and thus teach the sons of men to do so, will be called little in the Kingdom of Heaven; but those who do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

When Removing Torah From Ark

When the Ark set out, Mosha would say: Arise, O AdonYah, and Your adversaries will be scattered, and Your enemies will flee before You. For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of AdonYah from Jerusalem. Blessed is He who in His holiness gave Torah to His people Israel.

The Torah which Moshe commanded us is the heritage of congregation of Ya’aqub. (Kiss the Torah)

THE BOOK OF MATTHEW

CHAPTER 20

1 For the Kingdom

of Heaven is like a man, the lord of a house, who went out, at dawn

of day, to hire laborers for his vineyard.

2 And he contracted with the labors for a denarius a day: and sent them

into his

vineyard.

3 And he went out at the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the market-place:

4 and he said to them, Go also into my vineyard, and what is right I will give you;

5 and they went. And again he went out at

the sixth and ninth hours, and did the same.

6 And about the eleventh hour, he went

out and found others who were standing and

idle; and he said to them: Why do you stand all day and idle?

7 They said to him, Because no one has hired us. He said to them: Go also into the

vineyard; and what is right you shall receive.

8 And when it was evening, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward: Call the

laborers, and give them

their wages; and start with the last, and proceed to the first.

9 And those of the eleventh hour came, and received each a denarius.

10 And when the first came, they supposed they should receive more; but they also

received each a denarius.

11 And when they received it, they murmured against the lord of the house,

12 and said: These last have labored only one hour, and you have made them

equal with

us who have bore the burden of the day and the heat of it.

13 But he answered, and said to one of them

: My friend, I do you no injustice: was it not

for a denarius that you agreed with me?

14 Take what belongs to you, and go: for I am

disposed to give to this last, as to you.

15 Is it not lawful for me, to do what I please with what belongs to me; or is your eye

evil, because I am

good?

16 Thus the last shall be first, and the first last: for the called are many, but the chosen

are few.

17 And Jesus was going to go to Jerusalem: and he took his twelve disciples aside, on

the way, and said to them:

18 Behold we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of

man will be delivered up to the

chief priests and to the Scribes, and they will condemn him

to death.

19 And they will deliver him

over to the Gentiles: and they will mock him, and will

scourge him, and will crucify him; and the third day, he will arise.

20 Then the mother of Zebedee’s children came to him, she and her sons; and she

worshiped him, and asked something from

him.

21 And he said to her, What do you desire?

She said to him: Say, that these my two sons

shall sit, the one on your right hand and the other on your left, in your kingdom.

22 Jesus answered and said: You do not know what you ask for. Can you drink of the

cup, of which I am

to drink?

or be baptized with the baptism, that I am

baptized with?

They said to him: We can.

23 He said to them: You will indeed drink of my cup, and will be baptized with the

baptism

that I am

baptized with: but that you should sit on my right hand and on my left,

is not mine to give, except to those for whom

it is prepared by my Father.

24 And when the ten heard this, they were angry against the two brothers.

25 And Jesus called them, and said to them: You know that the princes of the nations

are their lords, and their great men exercise authority over .

26 It shall not be so among you. But whoever among you desires to be great, let him

be

to you, a minister:

27 and whoever among you desires to be first, let him

be your servant:

28 even as the Son of m

an came, not to be served, but to serve; and to give his life a

ransom

for many.

29 And as Jesus went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

30 And behold, two blind men were sitting by the way side. And when they heard that

Jesus was passing, they called out, and said: Have com

passion on us, my Lord, the son of

David!

31 And the multitudes rebuked them, that they might be silent. But they raised their

voice even more, and said: Our Lord, have compassion on us, the son of David.

32 And Jesus stopped, and called them, and said: What is it that you wish I do for you?

33 They said to him: Our Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

34 And he had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes

were opened, and they followed him.

Syriac Peshitto Matthew ch 20 Authorized use by +Mar Eshwan, Bishop

Gospel of Thomas v. 100-109

100) They showed Jesus a gold coin and said to Him, “Caesar’s men
demand taxes from us.”
He said to them, “Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, give
God what belongs to God, and give Me what is Mine.”

101) “Whoever does not hate his father and his
mother as I do cannot become a disciple to Me. And whoever does
[not] love his father and his mother as I do cannot become a
[disciple] to Me. For My mother [gave me falsehood], but [My]
true [Mother] gave me life.”

102) Jesus said, “Woe to the Pharisees, for they are like a dog
sleeping in the manger of oxen, for neither does he eat nor does
he let the oxen eat.”

103) Jesus said, “Fortunate is the man who knows where the
brigands will enter, so that he may get up, muster his domain,
and arm himself before they invade.”

104) They said [to Jesus], “Come, let us pray today and let us
fast.”
Jesus said, “What is the sin that I have committed, or
wherein have I been defeated? But when the bridegroom leaves the
bridal chamber, then let them fast and pray.”

105) Jesus said, “He who knows the father and the mother will be
called the son of a harlot.”

106) Jesus said, “When you make the two one, you will become the
sons of man, and when you say, ‘Mountain, move away,’ it will
move away.”

107) Jesus said, “The Kingdom is like a shepherd who had a
hundred sheep. One of them, the largest, went astray. He left the
ninety-nine sheep and looked for that one until he found it. When
he had gone to such trouble, he said to the sheep, ‘I care for
you more than the ninety-nine.’”

108) Jesus said, “He who will drink from my mouth will become
like Me. I myself shall become he, and the things that are hidden
will become revealed to him.”

109) Jesus said, “The Kingdom is like a man who had a [hidden]
treasure in his field without knowing it. And [after] he died, he
left it to his son. The son did not know (about the treasure). He
inherited the field and sold [it]. And the one who bought it went
plowing and found the treasure. He began to lend money at
interest to whomever he wished.”

Ode Fifteen
1 As the occupation of the ploughman is the ploughshare, and the occupation of the helmsman is the
steering of the ship, so also my occupation is the psalm of the Lord by His hymns.
2 My art and my service are in His hymns, because His love has nourished my heart, and His fruits He poured unto my lips.
3 For my love is the Lord; hence I will sing unto Him.
4 For I am strengthened by His praises, and I have faith in Him.
5 I will open my mouth, and His Spirit will speak through me the glory of the Lord and His beauty,
6 The work of His hands, and the labour of His fingers;
7 For the multitude of His mercies, and the strength of His Word.
8 For the Word of the Lord investigates that which is invisible, and reveals His thought.
9 For the eye sees His works, and the ear hears His thought.
10 It is He who made the earth broad, and placed the waters in the sea.
11 He expanded the heaven, and fixed the stars.
12 And He fixed the creation and set it up, then He rested from His works.
13 And created things run according to their courses, and work their works, for they can never cease nor fail.
14 And the hosts are subject to His Word.
15 The reservoir of light is the sun, and the reservoir of darkness is the night.
16 For He made the sun for the day so that it will be light; but night brings darkness over the face of the earth.
17 And by their portion one from another they complete the beauty of God.
18 And there is nothing outside of the Lord, because He was before anything came to be. .

19 And the worlds are by His Word, and by the thought of His heart. Praise and honour to His name. Halleluyah.

After scripture Reading

Psalm 119:18

Happy are they who are upright in the way, who walk in the Torah of AdonYah. Happy are they who keep His testimonies, that seek Him with the whole heart. They do no unrighteousness; they walk in His way. You have ordained Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently. Oh that my ways were directed to observe Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I have given diligence unto all Your mitzvoth. I will give thanks unto You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous ordinances. I will observe Your statutes; do not utterly forsake me.

Lord Yeshua, you who were brought forth by the very hand of God the Father, made known to the Blessed Mother Maryam, by the message of the angel Gabriel — I praise you, I thank you and I honour you with all my heart. It was you who said, ‘I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me, shall not hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall never thirst.’ Grant unto the presence of the Spirit of holiness as you promised to your disciples, so that I may understand the Word of God and the Will of the Father for me. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Forehead:”May I have the mind of Mshikha”, Mouth:”May I speak pure words of Torah”, Heart:”and may my heart be sealed”, Right shoulder: “in the blood of the Lamb”& Left shoulder :” Amen. ” God is One.
